SUMMARY:Our Living Languages
DESCRIPTION:This important and informative exhibit\, focuses on First People’s Voices in British Columbia\,  was previously featured at the Royal BC Museum but now shifts to Sidney from April 15 to July 24. Visitors can learn about efforts by First Nations communities around the province to preserve and enrich their languages. The exhibit is designed to honour the resilience and diversity of Indigenous languages in the face of change.

Sometimes our artistic endeavors can be a sign to see these changes coming or going and often are our life preservers. The clarity we strive for again and again can be like surfacing from a deep slumber. \nSo too is the plane of our canvas or paper an ever-evolving experiment in creating a meaningful surface. One that gives the maker deep satisfaction and challenges the creators expectations. This pursuit itself is the companion that rarely fails us in times of joy or changes. DESCRIPTION:Now in its 71th year\, the Saanich Peninsula Arts & Crafts Society is holding its annual Spring Show on Sat.\, April 27\, 10 am – 6 pm & Sun. April 28\, 10 am-4:30 pm at the Mary Winspear Centre in Sidney\, BC.\nThe Show is recognized Island-wide as a superior exhibition and sale of original paintings\, sculpture\, pottery\, fibre and textile arts\, fine crafts and jewellery.
