SUMMARY:Our Living Languages
DESCRIPTION:This important and informative exhibit\, focuses on First People’s Voices in British Columbia\,  was previously featured at the Royal BC Museum but now shifts to Sidney from April 15 to July 24. Visitors can learn about efforts by First Nations communities around the province to preserve and enrich their languages. The exhibit is designed to honour the resilience and diversity of Indigenous languages in the face of change.

DESCRIPTION:So often in life we go through crests and valleys precipitated by many different things. Sometimes our artistic endeavors can be a sign to see these changes coming or going and often are our life preservers. The clarity we strive for again and again can be like surfacing from a deep slumber. \nSo too is the plane of our canvas or paper an ever-evolving experiment in creating a meaningful surface. One that gives the maker deep satisfaction and challenges the creators expectations. This pursuit itself is the companion that rarely fails us in times of joy or changes. SUMMARY:BC Boat Show
DESCRIPTION:We are delighted to be back in Sidney for a spring show! \nThe BC Boat Show has grown to become the largest in-water boat show on the west coast. Proudly hosted by the British Columbia Yacht Brokers Association (BCYBA)\, the show is an opportunity for people to tour the boats of their dreams\, explore the latest yachts – both new and used – and delight in many fascinating demonstrations at beautiful Port Sidney Marina. There are usually around 200 boats of all sizes\, as well as many marine related business displays featuring everything from boat yard services\, hardware\, equipment\, navigation electronics\, clothing\, etc. Audience members can discuss the many features of the boats on display with knowledgeable and professionally certified yacht brokers. Sales often occur right at the show\, as the brokers are usually prepared to offer special pricing for an at-the-show sale. \nEveryone is welcome and children are encouraged to attend\, free of charge\, with their parents.
