DESCRIPTION:This important and informative exhibit\, focuses on First People’s Voices in British Columbia\,  was previously featured at the Royal BC Museum but now shifts to Sidney from April 15 to July 24. Visitors can learn about efforts by First Nations communities around the province to preserve and enrich their languages. The exhibit is designed to honour the resilience and diversity of Indigenous languages in the face of change.

As the VP of Operations for Cascadia Seaweed\, he’s using his technical expertise to optimize his team’s cultivation techniques and produce products that help combat climate change and build a more resilient food system. \nYour ticket unlocks an opportunity to enjoy light refreshments while networking and connecting with individuals who are curious about seaweed farming\, ocean health\, and climate action. We will share a few short films that dive deeper into the power and potential of seaweed\, and host a panel discussion with real-life seaweed farmer\, Matt Obee. \nThis family-friendly event is open to those who are 10 years old and up.

High-energy fun!\n\n\n8:00 pm – 10:00 pm \n\n\n\n\nThe Hounds of Cuchulain are a high-energy trad folk band from Victoria BC who perform a wide selection of Irish\, Scottish\, English\, and original songs in the Celtic tradition – dating from the 1600’s up to the 1980s. Stylistically inspired by such folk giants as the Dubliners\, Pogues\, and the Corries\, our performances feature rowdy pub songs\, historical ballads\, energetic dance tunes\, engaging storytelling\, and haunting airs on the Irish harp.\n\n
