DESCRIPTION:LEGO® enthusiasts have been visiting the Sidney Museum for twenty years to connect over their shared passion for this remarkable product. To celebrate this 20th anniversary milestone\, the Sidney Museum is taking a walk through time. This year’s displays are presented to reflect the themes of our LEGO® Brick Exhibit since its inception. Displays will highlight different exhibit years\, showcase beloved sets\, and tell the story of how a small community event became an annual tradition enjoyed by thousands of visitors from the Saanich Peninsula and beyond. \nAs always\, the Sidney Museum has a number of new sets on display. These sets will be accompanied by old favourites\, from Star Wars to Batman to floral\, architectural\, and vehicle sets. SUMMARY:An Evening with Josh Ritter Performance
DESCRIPTION:For more than two decades\, Josh Ritter\, has been heralded as one of the most preeminent voices in American songwriting – a masterful storyteller whose work blurs the boundaries between folk\, rock\, and Americana. Since the release of his self-titled debut in 1999\, Ritter has issued over a dozen widely acclaimed albums. Including: The Animal Years\, So Runs the World Away\, Fever Breaks (produced by Jason Isbell)\, and Spektral Lines. Each showcasing his signature blend of poetic lyricism and emotional insight. His latest album\, I Believe in You\, My Honeydew\, is released in September 2025 and will be supported by an extensive national tour. \nAlongside music\, Ritter has published two acclaimed novels – Bright’s Passage (2011) and The Great Glorious Goddamn of it All (2021). Both praised for their expressive prose and further establishing him as a singular storyteller in American fiction. His work has resonated with audiences\, peers and legends alike – Bob Dylan has performed his work live – and he’s collaborated closely with artists including Bob Weir and Joan Baez. Whether on the page or the stage\, Ritter continues to shape the landscape of American storytelling with uncommon grace and imagination.
