DESCRIPTION:LEGO® enthusiasts have been visiting the Sidney Museum for twenty years to connect over their shared passion for this remarkable product. To celebrate this 20th anniversary milestone\, the Sidney Museum is taking a walk through time. This year’s displays are presented to reflect the themes of our LEGO® Brick Exhibit since its inception. Displays will highlight different exhibit years\, showcase beloved sets\, and tell the story of how a small community event became an annual tradition enjoyed by thousands of visitors from the Saanich Peninsula and beyond. \nAs always\, the Sidney Museum has a number of new sets on display. These sets will be accompanied by old favourites\, from Star Wars to Batman to floral\, architectural\, and vehicle sets. DESCRIPTION:Show Times: 10am – 5pm\, daily March 20-26 \nOpening gathering on Friday\, March 20th from 4 to 6pm.\nLight refreshments served. \nExhibition Details: What is ‘Character’ \nA place\, a person\, a building\, a landscape\, anything that gives a sense of itself through how it looks to the eye. My work is on canvas\, mahogany board\, artisanal paper and is created in acrylic\, gouche\, markers\, oil pastel and collage. \nColour plays a large role in my work and takes the viewer to places they would not expect. \nDemos on collage applications in ones art practice.\n30 minute duration with 15 min Q&A.\nEvery day at 11am. \nParticipants: Patricia Knight

SUMMARY:The Arrogant Worms - Performance
DESCRIPTION:The Arrogant Worms have spent over three decades making fun of a big dumb world. Their songs have been played on the radio\, the internet\, and in outer space (on the space shuttle Endeavour). The Worms began at Queen’s University in 1991 when some members of the student cabaret group\, The Queen’s Players\, started writing songs and sketches for the campus radio station CFRC. \nTheir song\, The Last Saskatchewan Pirate\, has been covered by bands such as Captain Tractor and The Longest Johns\, and their Happy Happy Birthday song is a viral sensation with over one hundred million views of the various fan videos on YouTube. More than thirty years after they began\, The Arrogant Worms continue to provide tuneful and silly escapism for everyone who needs it.
