DESCRIPTION:Island Song\, a non-auditioned women’s pop choir on the Saanich Peninsula\, is excited to announce their Spring concert “Dynamic Duos!” Join us as we showcase the power of togetherness and friendship by featuring famous duets and iconic partnerships from across the decades. These songs prove that two voices are better than one\, and our choir will sing these legendary harmonies with heartfelt enthusiasm! \nWe’ll also be running a “Duo Donation Drive” at the concert — a simple way to give a little extra and help families in need. A donation bin will be available in the lobby and all items will be taken to the Saanich Peninsula Lions Food Bank. \nThe idea is easy: donate items in pairs that naturally go together! These thoughtful combinations help make everyday essentials more complete and useful for those receiving them. \nExamples include: \n\nShampoo + Conditioner\nToothbrush + Toothpaste\nPeanut Butter + Jelly\nPasta + Pasta Sauce\nSoap + Facecloth\nCanned Beans & Rice\nSoup + Crackers\n\n(Please check the expiration dates on all items — the food bank won’t take anything with a date older than six months ago) \nBy donating matching items together\, we can help create a more comforting and practical experience for individuals and families accessing support. \nEvery donation\, big or small\, makes a difference. (Because options are delicious.) \nIt’s our 12th Annual Event\, and we’ve added the ‘Plus’ to Lobsterfest for a reason —this year will be legendary. Join us Saturday\, June 6\, at the Mary Winspear Centre in Sidney as we celebrate our 12th year of this sell-out event. Tickets are limited—get your claws on your tickets before they’re gone! \n\n\n\n\nIn addition to savouring a Lobster\, Crab or Prime Rib dinner\, get ready to bid on jaw-dropping goodies during our silent and live auctions. (Stay tuned for silent auction details.) We’ll be rounding out the night with live music from local band The Haven. Doors open at 6pm for cocktails and silent auction viewing and the dinner bell rings at 7pm. Join the fun and feel good knowing you’re supporting our community!
