DESCRIPTION:Mark your calendars for June 7 and join us at Iroquois Park in Sidney for an action-packed day in support of Help Fill A Dream. \n9th Annual Seaside Magazine Charity Road Hockey Tournament is a one-day fundraising which brings together our Dream kids (children with life-threatening / critical conditions) and their families with the local community to participate in the quintessential Canadian pass time – road hockey. Highlights of the day include: both an adult and kids’ tournament and the ever popular TD Family Fun Zone featuring interactive displays from community partners\, entertainment\, inflatables\, a “by donation” BBQ and more. The TD Family Fun zone creates a fun family festival atmosphere for all ages . \nThe playing surfaces are smaller so the action will be fast and furious. With the smaller space\, there will be constant action as you zigzag back and forth\, trying to get past your opponents to score. You’ll need to be nimble and quick to make the perfect shot. This year’s event will also feature the first-ever Peninsula Annual Mascot Exhibition Race (P.A.M.E.R.). \nThe Spring Fling is a three-hour event designed to bring together families\, friends\, and neighbours to celebrate the Sidney Elementary School community. Attendees can enjoy a variety of activities\, including delicious food trucks\, classic games\, and the popular cake walk. Silent auctions\, raffles and 50/50 draws will happen onsite and online.\nA new addition to this year’s Spring Fling is the Peninsula Annual Mascot Exhibition Race (P.A.M.E.R.). This fun and engaging race will feature local community mascots competing for glory and bragging rights. The race is scheduled to take place at 7:00 PM\, and attendees are encouraged to come and cheer on their favourite local mascots alongside the R.C.M.P.
