SUMMARY:George Canyon & Aaron Pritchett
DESCRIPTION:George Canyon rose to becoming one of Canada’s hottest Country Music stars in the early 2000’s and has won countless accolades and awards\, including Juno Awards\, CCMA Awards\, and ECMA Awards to name a few. He has been inducted into the Nova Scotia Country Music Hall of Fame\, recorded 12 albums\, and was presented a certified Platinum Award for his debut album ‘One Good Friend’. With country iconic hits like Just Like You\, I Believe in Angels\, Drinkin’ Thinkin’\, Daughters of the Sun\, I Got This\, I Want You To Live\, Slow Dance and many\, many more\, he is also a highly regarded humanitarian\, strong supporter of the military\, and\, most important\, a proud father and devoted husband. \nCanyon’s tireless work as spokesperson for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) and his ongoing support for Canada’s Armed Forces has earned him much National and International recognition. Among them\, he was honored with the Humanitarian Award by the Canadian Country Music Association\, the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal\, and was also made the first ever Colonel Commandant of the Royal Canadian Air Cadets by the Honourable Peter MacKay\, former Minister of National Defense. \nOutside of his music and charitable work\, many people might also recognize George for his numerous roles on the big screen. From Charlie Wells in the hit television show Heartland and the head forest ranger in Trailer Park Boys\, to Bull Shelton in the Hallmark Channel’s highest-rated original Christmas movie “One Starry Christmas”. George also guest starred on stage in the musical production of Grease in 2018 at the Winter Garden Theatre in Toronto. \nAmong his many identities\, Canyon is also a proud Canadian and huge hockey fan\, and roots for his team\, the Calgary Flames\, for which he is in his sixth season singing the national anthem during the home games. \nGeorge’s latest country single ‘Haunting Me’ is available now on all digital platforms. \nAaron Pritchett’s legacy continues to be unstoppable. His authentic desire to connect with his fans\, whether it be onstage\, via his digital platforms\, in person or through his music\, has sustained and grown a robust and loyal fanbase for 2 decades. Artistically\, Aaron Pritchett continues to adapt\, and evolve\, while refusing to abandon the down home sincerity in his music that has been his trademark since his career inception. Pritchett has charted anthems like “Dirt Road In ‘Em (CERTIFIED GOLD)\, “Let’s Get Rowdy\,” “Hold My Beer (Certified GOLD)\,” and also appealed to the softer side with powerful hits like “Done You Wrong\,” and his top 5 smash – “When A Momma’s Boy Meets A Daddy’s Girl.” \n“The Score” released shortly after Aaron Pritchett opened multiple SOLD OUT shows for Garth Brooks\, debuted at #1 Canadian on the country charts. The first single “Dirt Road In ‘Em” broke industry paradigms by landing inside the top #10 on the country radio singles chart\, marking Aaron’s first return to the Top 10 in over 8 years. The sophomore single\, “Out Of The Blue” scored a top 15 spot at radio\, and the aforementioned “When A Momma’s Boy Meets A Daddy’s Girl\,” landed at #5 on the Canadian country singles chart and was the #1 most played Canadian track – as well! \nRecently\, the industry has caught on to what the fans have always known – which is that Aaron Pritchett belongs in the pantheon of Canada’s most elite artists. In 2017\, Pritchett was welcomed back to the nomination circles with a Juno nom for Country Album of the Year\, as well as multiple CCMA Award nominations\, including Male Artist of the Year! Pritchett’s single “Better When I Do” hit #1 on the Canadian Country radio charts! SUMMARY:Downchild Blues Band
DESCRIPTION:After 19 albums\, countless awards and wowing sold-out audiences around the globe\, THE LEGENDARY DOWNCHILD BLUES BAND are celebrating over 50 years of playing the blues with a brand-new show featuring their hits like “Flip\, Flop & Fly\,” as well as fan favourites and hidden gems from throughout their illustrious career. \nDownchild came to international prominence as the inspiration for Hollywood stars Dan Aykroyd and the late John Belushi’s hit film\, The Blues Brothers. In fact\, two Downchild songs\, “Shotgun Blues” and “I Got Everything I Need (Almost)” were even covered on The Blues Brothers’ 1978 multi-platinum album Briefcase Full of Blues. \nFounder\, Donnie Walsh\, the band’s main songwriter\, was inducted into the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2019\, alongside some of the greatest songwriters of our time\, like Leonard Cohen\, Neil Young and Joni Mitchell. \nDownchild continues to be led by\, Donnie “Mr. Downchild” Walsh on guitar and harmonica\, singer Chuck Jackson\, who also plays harmonica\, tenor sax man Pat Carey\, Gary Kendall on bass\, drummer Jim Casson and Tyler Yarema on keyboards. \nWith their signature jump-blues style and infectious\, soulful sound\, Juno Award winners Downchild deliver a live performance that is second to none and good times guaranteed! \nMiss Emily\nOn Monday June 20th at the Maple Blues Awards in Toronto\, Miss Emily took home her second Female Vocalist of the Year award\, bookending her 2020 award in the same category. 2022 continues to be a banner year for Emily Fennell\, known to the world as “Miss Emily.” In March she was a Juno nominee for Blues Album of the Year; recognizing her album “LIVE at the Isabel.” In May she won the International Songwriting Competition for her song “Three Words\,” and now she’s a two-time recipient of Canada’s national award for female blues vocalists. \nFrom the moment she finished her jaw-dropping appearance at the Toronto Blues Society Blues Summit three years ago\, Miss Emily has rocketed from provincial to national & international recognition. Her 2019 Canadian tour stretched from Nanaimo to Fredericton and was followed by 2020 Maples Blues awards for New Artist\, Female Vocalist and the inaugural Sapphire Blues video award for “Hold Back the River.” Celebrated in her adopted hometown of Kingston\, this Prince Edward County native holds the record for sellouts at Kingston’s Isabel Bader Center for the Performing Arts\, which prompted the release of “LIVE at the Isabel” and its subsequent Juno nomination for Blues Album of the Year. \nOn September 30th she will release her newest album “Defined by Love”; the long-awaited follow-up to her breakout record “In Between.” Produced by Canadian blues stalwart Steve Marriner\, “Defined by Love” is Emily’s diary of a year filled with confusion\, anger\, lost relationships and found humanity. ““Defined by Love” has been one of the greatest gifts of my career thus far\,” says Fennell. “Getting to work with the super human Steve Marriner and a slew of friendly\, kind and talented musicians and singers helped to infuse this album with so much goodness and love. My heart is so full.” \nThis fall\, Emily will be touring Canada\, the US\, the UK and Europe to promote “Defined by Love” and she’ll be making special appearances with The Legendary Downchild Blues Band during some of their dates in Western Canada. Full tour information will be available on her website and via social media. \nBackground – Miss Emily is Emily Fennell\, a Prince Edward County singer/songwriter who’s been performing for more than 20 years. In that time\, she’s recorded six studio albums\, received a Juno nomination\, is a two-time Maple Blues Female Vocalist of the year as well as New Artist of the year and Sapphire Blues Video of the year. She continues to tour Canada\, the US\, the UK and Europe and has worked tirelessly for dozens of charitable organizations including the internationally renowned Light of Day Foundation for Parkinson’s research.\nFor more information on Miss Emily check out her website – www.themissemily.com

He has performed on CBC’s Laugh Out Loud Radio\, JFL Northwest\, and The Winnipeg Comedy Festival in 2018. He breaks down his life\, fatherhood and working at a health food store. His love of the craft and the fun he has on stage is infectious! \nDevan Joshi has been performing stand up all over the country\, eventually landing on Vancouver Island. He can’t decide if he is a youthful Millenial\, elder Gen Z or simply an underwhelming lover.

SUMMARY:An Evening with Paula Cole and Special Guest with Miko Marks
DESCRIPTION:Paula Cole is an American singer-songwriter who first gained attention with her triple-Grammy nominated album “Where Have All the Cowboys Gone?”. In 1998\, Cole won the Best New Artist Grammy for her single “I Don’t Want to Wait”\, which was used as the theme song on the television show Dawson’s Creek. Her most recent release titled “American Quilt” was released in May 2021. Besides recording and performing\, Cole has also served on the faculty at Berklee College of Music since 2013. \nPaula Cole has released seven solo albums of original songs. Cole has performed with icons in many genres of music\, from Peter Gabriel to Dolly Parton\, Herbie Hancock to Emmylou Harris\, and Amy Lee of Evanescence to Burt Bacharach. Cole’s emotionally deep performances and her poetic\, intelligent writing makes her stand out from the masses of contemporary music. Her compositions have been covered by a diverse range of artists—including Hancock\, Annie Lennox\, Katherine McPhee\, and JoJo—and she has sold approximately 3 million albums. As the first woman in history to solely produce and receive the Best Producer Grammy nomination for her album This Fire\, Cole has broken boundaries with a searcher’s spirit. From her top 10 hits of the 1990s to her more recent\, critically acclaimed albums\, Cole continues to write\, produce\, record\, and perform heartfelt\, meaningful\, lasting music that defies categorization.
