We will cut\, fold\, and decorate monsters that can be scary\, goofy\, cute\, or anything else! \nRegister by emailing kids@virl.bc.ca. \nMaterials\nEach child will need a coloured square piece of paper approximately 13cm x 13cm\, along with more coloured paper\, scissors\, markers\, and glue. Something like construction\, wrapping\, or origami paper in a colour they love would all work well! \nThis is a free\, online program for kids of all ages. Younger children may need assistance from a caregiver with the craft.

Distances are short\, scenery is varied\, and\, despite the close proximity\, civilization seems worlds away. Add the chance to see whales\, bald eagles\, seals\, sea lions\, otters\, and you have the makings for a grand wildlife outing all within reasonable distance from your launch site. \nSeveral of the Islands including Sidney Island are accessible in a day. Our general route is travelling North towards Portland Island for a nice Picnic before coming back.
