Movie Night at the Sidney Museum

In the Displacing Differences display, the Sidney Museum has explored the history of the penitentiary on Piers Island which in the 1930s was the site of incarceration of several hundred Sons of Freedom Doukhobors. My Doukhobor Cousins is a documentary that looks at one family’s history who were affected by harsh government policies.
